To the Congregation and friends of
THE ROMANIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH
IN SCOTLAND, Glasgow, South Lanarkshire:
As you visit our usual place for religious services at 111 Killin Street, we hope that as well as praying for our church, you might consider the value of arranging a regular donation to the parish (however small). This will allow the parish to meet the ongoing costs of services; including rent, purchase and maintenance of liturgical objects, candles, oil, etc. Importantly, your donation also helps us address our long-term future, including the hope of purchasing a permanent place of worship for our parish.
After prayer, let us each consider what we can offer to help us secure a church for ourselves and for the children of our parish. Please use this Standing Order form to arrange a monthly donation for the amount of your choice, on the date of your choice. Standing Orders from your bank account are very secure. The amount can only be changed at your instruction and the order can be cancelled at any time.
If you pay Income Tax, please also complete the enclosed Gift Aid form as this allows the parish to claim back tax from HMRC. This costs you nothing extra and has the effect of increasing your donation. Completed forms can be handed directly to Father George or any member of the Church Council. If you have any questions about any aspect, please speak to a member of the Church Council.
